This year brought major shifts for me:
My two sons moved out, and at 45, I became an empty nester.
We lost our family dog at 17.5 years old.
Professionally, I felt stuck and drained, like I’d hit a wall.
But here’s the thing about loss - it makes space for change.

We sold our house.
We sold most of our belongings.
And we set out on an adventure.
I walked away from work that drained my energy and gave myself the time and space to reimagine how I wanted to support others in business.

What if I built my life first and let my work fit into it, instead of the other way around?
A Strategic Pause
Three months into what I’m calling a “strategic pause on steroids,” we’re exploring new places through Airbnb, deciding where we want to live next.
And something unexpected is clicking:
Doing less actually feels right.
We’ve been conditioned to think more is always better...more productivity, more things, more goals.
But it’s exhausting.
Finding Freedom in Simplicity
In simplifying my life by selling 85% of what I own, I’ve found something I couldn’t buy or hack: freedom.
The truth is, fulfillment doesn’t live in shopping carts, career ladders, or to-do lists.
It’s in the spaces we create when we let go of the clutter.
And it’s left me wondering: How can I apply this simplicity to my work?
